Frequently Asked Questions
An F1 is when the litter is the first generation doodle. So if it's an F1 Goldendoodle that means that one parent was a Golden Retriever and the other was a Poodle; this results in the puppies being 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle.
An F1B litter is when an F1 Goldendoodle is "backbred" with another Poodle thus adding the "B". So if the dam was an F1 Goldendoodle and the sire was a poodle you would have puppies that are 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever.
As a general rule, the more poodle in the puppy the less likely they are to shed; and the curlier the puppy the more hypoallergenic.
With every breed they have their own sizing, but as a general guide our sizing is as follows.
Micros: 5-10 lbs
Teacups: 7-15 lbs
Toys: 10-20 lbs
Minis: 15-30 lbs
Mediums: 25-55 lbs
We do. All our puppies are genetically health tested for over 160 genetically inheritable diseases before we breed. We want you to have confidence in the puppy you're getting so we go the extra mile to make sure all our puppies are set for a long and healthy life.
Some of the diseases we test for are:
Von Willebrand Disease, Congenital Macrothrombocytopenia, Degenerative Myelopathy, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Macular Corneal Dystrophy, Exercise-Induced Collapse, Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome, Oculoskeletal Dysplasia, Skeletal Dysplasia...
We have a one year genetic health guarantee against any life threatening genetically inheritable disease. Because of our very thorough genetic health testing we are confident in the health of the puppies we sell!
All our puppies are sold with a strict spay or neuter contract; but we may be willing to consider allowing breeding rights to certain breeders with excellent breeding practices that will uphold our high breeding standards and pay an additional fee. Submit your application and we'll be in touch.
When placing a deposit you're committing to buying a puppy and since we only have so many puppies we turn families away once our deposit lists are full. By turning families away that would otherwise have bought the puppy we lose opportunities to place the puppy in a good home during his/her optimal bonding time. We are trying to ensure our puppies are going to good homes when they're best prepared for them; this is our best effort at making sure our puppies have families that are committed!
We are located just north of Salt Lake City, Utah. If you're local to Utah you're always welcome to schedule a time to come visit, but for those that aren't local we are more than willing to setup a Facetime visit for you to see our puppies and ask any questions you like. We'll also be sending pictures and video clips periodically so you get to see your puppy grow!
We love when families are able to fly in to pick up their puppies but when they can't we can definitely recommend a couple puppy nannies we've worked with and highly recommend for transporting your puppy directly to your chosen airport. Puppy nannies take care of the puppy in the cabin making sure they get the food, water, and are cleaned up after potty breaks etc. We have heard many heart wrenching stories of puppies dying or arriving in awful condition having been shipped though cargo, so we will fly a puppy out to you but not in cargo.
Absolutely! While deposits are non-refundable you are welcome to transfer to later litters for up to a year past the date you place your deposit. If you had your heart set on a puppy but it was picked by someone prior to your selection time, you can transfer to a later litter and we'll offer the remaining puppies to others.
If you're looking for a puppy that's hypoallergenic you're gonna want a puppy with more percentage of poodle. We recommend F1B, F1BB, F2B, or F2BB litters; each of these have 75% poodle or more. As an alternate option our Micro Bolonoodles are also hypoallergenic because both parents are hypoallergenic.
Most puppies will be ready to go at 8 weeks of age. We will not send them home any sooner to make sure our puppies are set up for a successful life. For smaller litters such as Micro's or Teacups we may keep them until 10-12 weeks depending on how quickly they're growing and advancing. We evaluate every litter when they are around 5-6 weeks old and can determine at that point if they'll be ready at 8, 10, or 12 weeks. Be sure to contact us before scheduling your flights to make sure your puppy will be ready for you.
If you're ready to reserve a puppy send in your application and we'll contact you to talk about what litters we have available or upcoming. Once your application is approved we'll send you a link to place a non-refundable deposit of $500 that goes toward the final purchase price of the puppy. Once we have your deposit we'll add your information to the litter you're wanting and we'll send you updates and let you know when it's your turn to select your puppy from the available puppies. Once you've made your selection we'll send you a contract and a final invoice to pay the remaining balance due before you pick up your new puppy!
We look forward to answering any other questions that you might have. It is our hope that you will be confident with our team and our efforts to take care of you in this process. Feel free to submit any other questions you have on our contact page and we'll try to get them answered as soon as we're able.
