Read through our Frequently Asked Questions to help understand the Cavapoo breed

What is a Cavapoo?
A Cavapoo puppy is a mixed breed designer dog. The Cavadoodle breed comes from breeding a King Charles Cavalier or other Cavalier with a Poodle. The Cavapoo puppy is a very popular designer dog because of the loving, gentle nature of the King Charles Cavalier; as well as the hypoallergenic benefits that come from the poodle. Our Precious Cavapoo puppies are like our own little babies! They are family friendly, playful, and naturally cuddly by nature.

How big do Cavapoo puppies get?
Cavapoo puppies size depends on the size of the parents. A King Charles Cavalier bred with a Toy Poodle is usually estimated to be half of the combined parents weighs; give or take a few pounds. Our Teacup Goldendoodle puppies are estimated to range between 7 lbs & 15 lbs fully grown; while our Micro Cavadoodle puppies are estimated to be under 10 lbs.

Will Teacup Cavapoos shed?
Whether or not a Goldendoodle shed's is largely dependent on how much poodle they have. There are some exceptions but generally speaking, when you have more poodle you have less shedding. Because poodles do not shed anymore than you or I do, they bring that fantastic trait to the Golden doodle coat. When they are only 50% poodle, most Goldendoodles will still have some light shedding. As a general rule I try to encourage families looking for hypoallergenic dogs to look for a Goldendoodle that is at least 75% poodle.

Teacup Cavapoo Traits
Cavapoo puppies have many different names they are commonly called. Cavapoo is the most common name, but they are also called Cavadoodle, Cavapoodle, Cavadoo or Cavoodle. Whether you call them a Cavapoo or a Cavoodle it doesn't matter as much as understanding their qualities and traits. Cavadoodles are known for their sweet and gentle temperaments as well as being hypoallergenic dogs. The King Charles Cavalier is a loyal, attentive, and gentle soul. Combined with the toy poodle & you have a hypoallergenic dog thats loyal, smart, friendly & fun!

Cavapoo Lifespans
The Teacup Cavapoo is a smaller breed so that plays in its favor when it comes to longevity. It is also a cross-breed, and cross-breeds are also known to have longer life spans than other breeds which are often in-bred. Both cavapoo “parents” can boast a fairly good life span. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel can live up to 11-13 years, and a poodle can reach up to 15 years of age. Therefore A cavapoo lifespan is 10 to 15 years on average. But of course, how long your cavapoo lives also depends on the care you put in and their genetic & environmental health.

Do Teacup Cavadoodles Train Easily?
Because they are so intelligent, Micro Cavapoos and Teacup Cavapoo puppies are fairly easy to train with consistency. Every puppy needs consistency and these are no different, but because they are smart little doodle dogs; the cavadoodle does tend to learn quickly. Some will call Teacup Cavapoo puppies people pleasers because they always want to make their family happy. If your Micro Cavapoo or Teacup Cavapoo puppy is a people pleaser, training will be a breeze. Good Cavoodle behavior should always be rewarded with positive encouragement.
